SPORTS SHIRT UPHOLSTERY

Whether you're a professional athlete or an avid fan, sports shirts mean so much more to us than the material they're made from. They often represent a childhood dream, hard fought victories and incredible memories with friends and teammates.

So why keep them hidden away in a drawer or suitcase under the bed when they could be celebrated in pride of place in your home? From a statement sport chair, a cushion or something you can wear again in a different guise, Embrace Bespoke is here to help you embrace the love for your shirt in a way to suit you.

Below you'll see a showcase of some of the styles of furniture and accessories you can choose to turn your shirts into. You can click onto each image for more information. It's a gallery to inspire ideas.

Please Note:

For the smaller homewares items and accessories (such as The Toddy Memo board, Charisma Cushion and Rafa Headband) these are available to purchase directly from The Shop, you send your shirt in to us and we'll send you the finished product.

For larger furniture items the costs will vary depending on the number of shirts and design of your item so you can either purchase your Sports Shirt Upholstery Deposit from The Shop and we'll be in touch or you can contact Gemma for a quote before hand.

The Sports Chair that started it all...

The idea to create sports shirt furniture was born out of a want to mix my love of interior design and upholstery with my passion and background in sport. Whilst completing my training at The Ministry of Upholstery, I found a suitcase under my bed filled with shirts and clothes I had kept from throughout the years.

The two All Blacks shirts I wore as a teenager jumped out at me, they filled me with instant happy memories so I knew I had to put them on a chair. They remind me of showing support for not only one of the greatest sporting teams of all time but also the country of my birth. They are the shirts that became my uniform when as a 6ft tall girl in the 1990’s “normal girls” clothes didn’t fit me. They are the shirts that brought me bragging rights of victories in garden games against my family because the All Blacks had just beaten England again.

They reflect part of my story & twenty years later on they are now pride of place in my home. Don’t all shirts deserve to embrace their story?
